Thou Shalt Not Kill?: Christian Metalcore Singer Admits To Hiring Someone To Attempt To Murder His Wife, And Could End Up Just Getting Sentenced To Probation
After much delay Tim Lambesis of the prominent Christian metalcore band As I Lay Dying finally entered a courtroom in Vista, California and pleaded guilty to attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife Meggan, a woman whom he’d adopted three children with.
According to Lambgoat, as part of his plea deal Lambesis could serve up to nine years in prison plus four years of parole after his release, and be fined $10,000.
That’s it? Tim Lambesis, a $14 million dollar man. Seriously, his current net worth is $14,000,000. They’re trying to get him for a whopping 0.07% of his entire net worth after he sat down with Howard Bradley, a man he considered an assassin, and told him he wanted his wife “gone.”
In the months leading up to the incident where Lambesis found himself in the clandestine meeting, it came out that Lambesis had been unfaithful to his wife and marriage, abusing steroids, and obsessively lifting weights. Bizarrely, his legal team found a way to spin his bad behavior into a defense, citing his actions as the result of the steroids instead of a blatant indication that Tim’s just a really shitty dude.
Even worse is that he could walk with as light a sentence as probation. It’s not probable, but it is possible, as the length of his prison sentence wasn’t specified in the plea deal. Sentencing is scheduled for May 2nd with Judge Carlos Armour presiding, pending any other delays that his deluded lawyers push through in the meantime.
In all honesty he renounced his faith (sort of) before this and Austrian Death Machine is the better band he is in.
